Chapter 3 of the Association of Facilities Engineering (AFE) has been serving the Baltimore area since 1954. Beginning as the American Institute of Plant Engineers (AIPE) we changed our name to AFE to reflect the changing world of Facilities Engineering.
The mission of the Baltimore Chapter of AFE is to encourage local participation in an international organization dedicated to keep professionals in the field of Facilities Engineering informed and prepared for the future. Monthly meetings and plant tours provide an opportunity for individuals in our field to discover what makes other plants work and how to deal with common problems. Our meetings and programs are intended to compliment the magazines, newsletters, and programs furnished by the National AFE.
